If you like what Ducati does but wishes they were more reliable and a bit lighter on the maintenance, then you and the Aprilia brand should be best buds. While Aprilia is best known for their pure race machines, as they are the winningest brand in motorcycle racing history, they have had more variety in the lineup in recent years and the Caponord is an example of that. This bike was designed to compete with the Ducati Multistrada and the BMW S1000XR, bringing to the table a liquid cooled 125hp 1197cc v-twin and a host of electronic features and rider aids. It boasts 3 ride modes (Sport, Touring and Rain), ABS brakes, ATC (Aprilia Traction Control), ADD (Aprilia Dynamic Dampening, their version of electronic suspension w/ multiple settings), a manually adjustable windscreen, hand guards, heated grips, color matched locking quick detach panniers, and cruise control. This is a bike that looks like and has comforts of a sport tourer but make no mistake, it still has racer DNA (and looks, check out the last few pics without the luggage!) and with the torque and exhaust note the bike produces it is an absolute blast to ride...it will get your heart beating and you will fall in love with it. Like the standard Multistrada this is a bike certainly more oriented to the pavement, but with a more chunky set of tires could do some light off pavement (packed dirt/gravel roads) but is not a trail / BDR machine by any means. This is a prime example, nicest one on the market in the country right now with low low miles, the rarer white color and the factory authorized Arrow exhaust. No doubt one of the best ways to spend $7,895.00 right here!
