The legendary lazy boy on wheels, the Honda GoldWing, was completely redesigned for the '18 model year for the first time since '01. For 40+ years, the Honda Gold Wing has been an extremely functional icon of long-distance luxury motorcycle touring. Couch-like comfort, huge storage capacity, and long distances between gas stops were features that riders came to love and expect from the Wing. Even as impressive as the previous generation was for it's time, this new GL is lighter in weight, more compact, and more technologically advanced than before. A lighter more compact version of the flat 6 powers it, the lighting and bodywork is all new and the most revolutionary change is the new Double Wishbone front suspension, as well as in this case the automatic seven-speed Dual Clutch Transmission. On top of those major mods Big Red also added a huge array of up to date infotainment features. These changes in look, feel and function mean to both attract a new generation and impress the already indoctrinated with a lighter and easier-to-handle luxury touring bike. This one has just over 43k on the clock, barely broke in for GoldWing standards and has an added rider backrest, side air deflectors and a rear luggage rack. May not be the nicest or lowest mileage in the country but it is one of the most affordable at just $14,995.00!
