The Tuono has long been one of Aprilia's signature bikes, what is billed as essentially the road version of the RSV race machine, there is a lot to like here. The name Tuono means Thunder in Italian, and this machine delivers with heart racing exotic supersport performance in a package that is more upright and comfy for the real world and the engine, transmission & suspension tweaked just a bit from racetrack to road in order to deliver a wider powerband that's as satisfying if not more than anything else out there. Each twist of the throttle results in a musical surge of power that hurls the Tuono forward with a wild, grin-inducing rush....wheelies are a joyful and inevitable result, and the front end will paw skyward even in third gear. This beast is said to put 167hp to the crank, about 154 of that makes it to the pavement. Not devoid of features the bike features APRC (Aprilia Performance Ride Control) that governs traction, wheelie and launch control, as well as a quickshifter, 3 ride modes, throttle by wire and Brembo ABS brakes.
