Before the R nine T came along, choosing a vintage styled bike meant accepting sub-standard performance and ride quality to go with that retro styling, but BMW changed all that. This is not just a modern machine but a premium one, with an air-and oil-cooled boxer twin that BMW has made forever so the engine is solid and spirited, the chassis features high-end suspension (forks borrowed from the S1000RR superbike) and ABS Brembo brakes, along with impressive details include an alloy fuel tank, deep paint and twin exhaust (in this case with an Akrapovic muffler).
